Let's Break It Down

1

Flexible Learning

We partner with families to design personalized learning plans that reflect and support their homeschooling vision. We adapt enrichment to meet learners where they are while encouraging steady, meaningful growth.

Here are some of the ways we personalize instruction:

  • Lessons are broken into manageable blocks in both scope and duration

  • Flexible academic pacing

  • Movement and brain breaks

  • Graphic organizers, visual guides, and supportive tools

  • Small-group instruction

  • Ongoing collaboration with parents

  • Bloom & Grow weekly home extensions

We believe learning is most powerful when it is family and child-led. When students have ownership of their growth, confidence builds — and confidence becomes the foundation for meaningful progress.

Executive Functioning Support

Executive Functioning skills are the brain’s management system. They help children plan, stay organized, manage time, control impulses, regulate emotions, and follow through on tasks.

These skills aren’t something kids are simply born knowing how to use — they develop gradually over time, and they need guidance and practice.

Even highly motivated children can struggle with:

Forgetting assignments

Procrastinating

Emotional outbursts

Difficulty starting tasks

Trouble managing time

This is an area where children can grow!

Our program integrates executive functioning support into daily routines and learning activities.  By freeing up mental energy — allowing students to focus, engage, and grow with confidence.

Social and Emotional Support

At Wildflower Academy, children don't just focus on math and reading — they’re developing ways to manage emotions, build relationships, handle conflict, and make responsible decisions.

Emotions affect learning. A child who feels anxious, frustrated, or disconnected struggles to focus and retain information.

Relationships matter. Learning how to communicate, cooperate, and resolve conflict shapes friendships and group success.

Resilience isn’t automatic. Coping with disappointment, failure, and stress is a skill that must be developed.

Confidence grows from self-awareness. When children understand their emotions, they gain control over their reactions.

Our small group setting allows for meaningful relationship building and guided practice of these skills.
